I think it is my inherent Britishness, the same thing that makes me eat salads in restaurants that have bugs in instead of sending them back, that makes me only want to write about how good the weather has been. As a nation we are obsessed with our climate. We talk about it when it's hot and ask people if we've been making the most of it but god forbid it's anything other than sweltering and we repeatedly lambaste it. Except for snow of course, we love snow for at least 2 or 3 hours since it has settled, anytime after that it is just a nuisance.
